Pineapple Banana Smoothie recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen

Fresh pineapple and bananas blended together so smooth and creamy, this was a great morning treat. I love the ease of making smoothies in the morning.

Almost everyday, I toss a smoothie together as I’m cooking breakfast for my kids. That way we all have something to sip on as we are waiting for our meal.

You know, my kids love smoothies, but I have steered clear of them because I'm allergic to bananas and I've always thought that bananas were kind of essential in a smoothie to give it body and thicken it…any suggestions for a banana substitute?

I wish I had the discipline to make a smoothie everday, sounds like a such a nice and healthy way to start the day. I think pineapple is a wonderful fruit too, so sweet it's more of a dessert than something that's good for you!

Sure you can. I wouldn't add too much ice though, (maybe 1/2 cup or so) because that might water it down. You can even skip the ice and it just won't be quite as cold. Enjoy!

I love this smoothie, I use frozen pineapple chunks and fresh bananas, it comes out plenty cold and frosty, and sooo sooo good, I told my Mom this smoothie is like a mini vacation in the tropics, it takes me away from the work stress while I sip on it.
