Sweet oranges, pineapple chunks and kiwi slices are tossed with a simple honey-lime poppyseed dressing to make this Honey Lime Winter Fruit Salad.
This salad takes barely five minutes to prepare and it disappears almost that quickly.
Just in case you haven’t noticed, my family eats a lot of fruit. Simple fruits, baked fruits, fruit salads, chocolate dipped fruits or blended into smoothies, we love it all.
This time of year, the selection is limited, but there is always a heaping basket of oranges on the counter.
Honey Lime Fruit Salad
I wanted a fruit salad centered around our favorite clementine oranges and this one I adapted from Mel’s Kitchen Cafe worked out perfectly.
The simple dressing made with honey and fresh lime elevates an everyday bowl of fruit to something special. And that sprinkling of poppyseeds on top adds terrific flavor and crunch.
Honey brings out the sweetness in fruit and balances this Red Wine and Honey Salad with Fruit.
We made this salad for the first time seven years ago and this sweet baby of mine was not yet three years old. It’s hard to believe that he will be TEN in just a few months.
The long hair has been gone for a while and his chubby little hands and baby face are disappearing more and more every night.
He looks so very different now, but I still love this picture.
Check out the Kitchen Tip post on How to Peel a Kiwi Using a Spoon. It takes just a moment to peel them this way and I love it.

The cute little limes, the poppy seeds, the clementines, the whole salad is adorable, but I'm sorry, none of that holds a candle to your son!! And one question—where is the helmet? 🙂
Mary says
We don't wear fireman helmets at the table, Sue. I have to draw the line somewhere, right? I love that he loves it so much, but it was fun to actually see his face for a picture this time!
