Sweet blueberries and bananas combine with tart grapes in this Blueberry Grape Banana Smoothie without any added sugar. It is one of my favorite smoothie combinations.
My boys used to ask for this smoothie all the time when they were younger. Even now that they’re teenagers, it’s rare that I get to drink a whole smoothie by myself.
Grape Smoothie
I have always loved eating grapes. There was something joyous as a child about tearing off a bunch of these round and juicy sweet berries that burst with flavor.
Nature might package them into bite-size pieces already, but as an adult, I have a long-standing love affair with smoothies. So, it doesn’t take much for me to break out the blender.
My local grocery stores have their best prices on grapes in late summer and early fall. That makes them great to pair with blueberries which are also ripening at that time, and bananas which are ripe year-round.
So, I am happy to report that this trio – blueberries, grapes, and bananas – combined to make an amazingly good end-of-summer smoothie.
It’s pretty incredible how the grape flavor stands out in this smoothie. You will still pick up the flavors of the blueberries and the bananas, but this truly is a Grape Smoothie.
Smoothie Ingredients
- Milk
- Bananas
- Red grapes
- Black grapes (or whatever you have on hand)
- Blueberries

More Grape Smoothies
While there are a few different ingredients here, the primary flavor is from the grapes and it’s fantastic. I’ve added a note to add honey, if it isn’t sweet enough for you, but ONLY as needed.
Typically, grapes will contribute plenty of sweetness on their own.
If you’re like me and can’t get enough Grape Smoothies, I recommend trying my Apple Grape Raspberry Spinach Smoothie.
The Orange Grape Banana Kale Smoothie and the Apple Banana Grape Chia Kale Smoothie can both be made with orange juice as the base, and they are absolutely delectable.
For a creamier fruit smoothie, I really like an Apple Avocado Banana Grape Smoothie.
Blueberry Grape Banana Smoothie
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 bananas frozen or fresh
- 1 cup red grapes frozen
- ½ cup black grapes frozen
- ¾ – 1 cup blueberries frozen
- 1-2 tablespoons honey optional – taste the smoothie first to see if it is needed
Instructions
- Layer ingredients into the blender in the order listed. Puree until smooth. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

This is a great recipe! Sometimes I get tired of adding milk, almond milk, coconut milk or yogurt so I substitute cranberry juice.

i added almonds and dates . i substituted honey for dates. its naturally sweet and caramelly. sooo good!

It was yummy! I was looking for a way to use up frozen grapes and this was a great solution. We don’t love bananas, so we used just one banana and added an extra half-cup each of blueberries and grapes. We also used almond milk (fewer calories) and added a little stevia (instead of honey) and 1/2 tsp vanilla.
