Favorite Things ~ Fitbit Flex Giveaway

Have you heard of Fitbit? It seems like half the people I know are wearing some form of an activity monitor these days. Since we are talking about favorite things today, I'm telling you that I love my Fitbit Flex. Sean and I have both been wearing Fitbit Flex wristbands for almost a year. Our Fitbits have motivated us to move more and stay aware of just how sedentary our lives tend to be if we aren't intentional about the way we spend our time. With days ranging from 1,500 steps (yeah, that was a new low) to 25,000 steps, the wristbands are a great reminder to just keep moving! 

Little things like making the choice to walk across the street to pick up a bunch of bananas instead of loading the kids into the car for the quick run to the store has contributed to more movement for our whole family. I can't deny that it's much more fun to walk a few miles a day when you are motivated by those little flashing lights.

I'm hopeful that with the Fitbit will act as a reminder this holiday season and motivate me to take a few extra walks outdoors in lieu of trips back to the refrigerator to snack on all the leftovers! I love that the Fitbit reminds me to get moving (even if it's just a few extra steps around the house) and as a bonus, it is the gentlest, least headache inducing alarm clock I've ever used. You can set the Fitbit to wake you with just a gentle vibration on your wrist, and it works.

  7. Just try to get in extra steps around the house and do mini workouts throughout the day. Too much snow, ice and cold to be outside for long.

  12. I work in a 6 story building. I work on the first floor. Every time I visit the restroom (often!) I go up and down the stairs as fast as I can.

  16. I don't use those Pinterest, Instagram nor Twitter, so think it's a shame I can't get an entry with a comment or login :( Very disappointed, because I have mobility issues and could really use a Fitbit to help me with chair marching, physical therapy, etc.

  24. This is the toughest time of year. The temperature drops, and the holiday goodies are everywhere!
    I could certainly use a FitBit Flex for motivation to walk and workout.
