10 Slow Cooker Soup and Stew Recipes by Barefeet In The Kitchen
There is no time of year when I love my Crock-Pot more than in the fall and winter months. Delicious foods simmering all day as I busy myself with a million fun things and forget about making dinner, what’s not to love?
I’ve lined up ten of our favorite Slow Cooked Soup Recipes for you today. I hope you love them every bit as much as we do!Are you ready for cooler temperatures? I am beyond ready for winter weather and all of our favorite fall foods that come with it! Soups and stews make regular appearances on our table throughout the fall and winter.

The weather here in Phoenix is finally cooling and I’m looking forward to some long awaited beautiful days. Despite the fact the forecast here in the southwest is still in the 90s for the rest of the week, I keep reminding myself that fall is on the way, one warm bowl of soup at a time.

Here’s the collection of our favorite Crock-Pot Soups & Stews:
Creamy White Chicken Chili – Tender chicken, soft white beans, green chile and plenty of spices in a creamy broth much closer to a soup than a chili; I’ve made this soup countless times and it is a well-established favorite in my house.
Vegetarian Four Bean Chipotle Chili – Everything for this chili can usually be found in my pantry. Four beans with tons of flavor from Mexican spices and chipotle peppers are all it takes to pull together this flavorful pot of chili.
Stuffed Bell Pepper Soup – Seasoned beef, rice, and bell peppers, basically everything we love about stuffed peppers is piled into this easy crock-pot soup. This soup was a hit from the very first time we made it.
Rosemary and Thyme Potato Soup – An alternative name for this soup would be my “busy day soup,” this soup can be assembled anytime from 5-10 hours before you want to eat. This soup is perfect for those days when you know you’ll be busy in the afternoon and don’t want to fuss with dinner.
White Bean and Ham Soup – White beans simmered with ham and vegetables until everything is tender, then pureed into a smooth and richly flavorful soup that symbolizes the return of fall in our household. I’ve been making this soup for years and my whole family loves it.Southwest Chicken and Black Bean Soup – Chicken, green chile, beans, tomatoes and Mexican spices fill this soup with great flavor and a good bit of heat from the green chile and spices.

Split Pea Potato Ham and Leek Soup – Loaded with rich ham flavor and a balanced combination of potatoes, leeks and split peas, this soup gets rave reviews from everyone who makes it. You’ll want to save this recipe now for the next time you have a hambone to use.

Loaded Baked Potato Soup – This creamy soup is filled with fluffy bites of baked potato, richly flavored with sour cream and all the best potato toppings; this is not your average potato soup. The soup holds beautifully in the crock-pot for 2-4 hours, making it perfect for stress free dinners.

Green Chile Chicken Corn Chowder – Chicken, sweet corn and green chile are stirred together in this creamy soup guaranteed to keep you warm all winter long.Spicy Five Bean Chili with Steak and Sausage – This chili just plain makes me happy. It makes me grin when I smell it throughout the house and I look forward to dinner all day long. Tender steak, spicy sausage, five different varieties of beans, tomatoes and chile all combine to make this absolutely spectacular. This chili has been on my middle son’s choice for his birthday meal for the past three years and I’ll be making it again for his birthday this weekend.

I like to keep soups in the freezer for simple lunches and easy dinners. If the soup reheats nicely from the freezer, I’ve included instructions for that at the bottom of each recipe.
