Honey Lime Fruit Salad

Fruit Salad with Honey Lime Dressing

Summer fruit salads are beautifully versatile. They are always a hit at barbecues and picnics and with the fruits in season right now; you can choose your favorites to combine.

The first time I made this salad, I simply worked with the fruit that was already in the house. We liked it so much, I’ve been making it the same way ever since.

Fruit Salad Dressing

The simple honey-lime dressing takes an everyday bowl of fruit up a notch and makes it something special.

Just whisk together equal parts honey and lime juice and add a sprinkle of salt. The recipe can be doubled or tripled as much as you like!

Want a few more great fruit salads to try? This Light and Creamy Fruit Salad disappears in a blink every time I make it. There is rarely a bite leftover.

This Red White and Blue Fruit Salad is an immediate hit with everyone who has ever tasted it.

Fresh pineapple, strawberries, grapes, blueberries, oranges, kiwis, and blackberries come together fabulously in this flavor-filled Rainbow Fruit Salad.

Honey Lime Fruit Salad

Fresh strawberries and blueberries are tossed in a very light balsamic vinaigrette to make this Balsamic Berry Salad. I like that salad so much it inspired the Strawberry Spinach Pasta Salad that we all now enjoy as well.

Last but not least, no fruit salad list is complete without my favorite summer dessert, Strawberry Pretzel Salad. (It’s a salad in name only – check out those ingredients.) My Aunt Judy gave me the recipe and it will forever be called a salad because it just makes me grin.

Mary, are you using a widget or a plugin for your "one year ago today" links? I have a plugin installed and it does not seem to be working. Wondered what you were using.

    1. Mary says:

      Hi Lisa,
I was unable to find a reliable widget for the links. I just grab them myself and add them at the bottom of the posts.
      Hope that helps,
      Mary

Hi, Mary. The salad sounds great!

Can I make it ahead of time, or will the strawberries lose too much juice?

    1. Mary Younkin says:

By make ahead if you mean a few hours, yes that should be fine. If you are wanting to refrigerate it overnight, I would not recommend it.

Oh my gosh I am so going to make this for a due I am going to. I do have a question though. I am highly allergic to honey and wondering if maple syrup will make that much of a difference in the taste ? It looks so refreshing and would make such a nice addition to our pot luck .5 stars

    1. Mary Younkin says:

You could certainly use maple syrup it will change the flavor a bit, June.
