Homemade Ranch Dip with Fresh Herbs

Homemade Ranch Dip with Fresh Herbs recipe by Barefeet In The KitchenThis is a creamy, tangy ranch dip loaded with as many fresh herbs as I could stir into it. Fresh lemon juice provides the tang of buttermilk and the flavor is far beyond anything you could buy at the store. Even with the time spent chopping all the fresh ingredients, this recipe still came together in less than 15 minutes.

There is nothing like an abundance of fresh herbs to inspire a bit more creativity in the kitchen. One of the growers at our Farmer's Market had a huge table of herbs last weekend and I went a little crazy filling my basket with fresh herbs for next to nothing. If you do not have an abundance of fresh herbs at your fingertips this time of year, check out this Quick and Easy Homemade Ranch Dip made with dried herbs and spices.

ONE YEAR AGO TODAY: Orange Chicken Stir Fry

  1. Ooohhh... Chris is going to love this. I know what I'll be making this weekend!!! YUM!!

  2. This brings back so many memories. We used to really eat ranch dressing a lot at our house! I can't image how good a homemade version tastes - bravo! I bet you could sub some Greek yogurt for the sour cream too. Yum with a protein kick!

  3. Sounds very good Mary - with the onset of cold weather we're about to be out of the fresh herb business, except the real hardy ones.

  4. Mary, I will have to make this for my girls! They love ranch dressing, and I really hate to buy it bottled:) I make my own mayo, and I always have a bunch of fresh herbs, so it should be a no-brainer:)
    have a great Halloween!

  5. This looks fantastic Mary. I still have a handful of herb plants that are thriving (sort of). It's always a sad day when the frost gets the last of them.

  6. Maybe I should take that to art class mañana!

  7. I'm not usually a creamy dressing fan but with all these herbs...I could get behind it!

  8. Love this, so much more natural without all the yuckies in storebought kind. This is my new go to recipe for ranch dip. Love it Thanks for sharing it.Have a great day!
