Crisp apple slices are drizzled with melted and gooey peanut butter and then topped with a handful of pecans and just a sprinkling of chocolate and coconut to make these irresistible Apple Nachos. My kids flipped out over this treat and talked about it for a couple of days.

Several years ago, I overheard someone mention apple nachos and I suddenly had an image of apple slices drizzled with peanut butter dancing through my head. I googled “apple nachos” and stumbled across a lovely photo of apple nachos at Allyson Kramer. I couldn’t resist making a version of them for my kids that same day.

Apple Snacks

Apple Nachos has become a favorite snack and late night dessert over the past few years. Knowing how much we enjoy them, it shouldn’t have surprised me that my whole family loved these Green Apple S’mores on last year’s family camping trip.

How To Make Apple Nachos

Making Apple Nachos is about as easy a snack as you can make. Melt the peanut butter in the microwave until it is smooth and runny. Thinly slice the apples and scatter the pieces across a large plate. Drizzle the melted peanut butter across the slices. Sprinkle with the toppings of your choice and start snacking!

Kitchen Tip: I use this apple slicer to make this recipe.

That looks yummy! I may have to give it a try… though I think I'll skip the pecans and the trip to the emergency room.

I'm actually really glad this recipe turned out to be a dessert like thing… The gears in my head were making a terrible grinding noise as I tried to picture nachos with apples on them!
