Po'dunk Sauce

Po'dunk Sauce recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen

When I was making oven fries last week, I finally remembered to make Chris' Po'dunk Sauce (thus named, because you 'dunk' your 'po'-tatoes in it) to try with them. After waiting so many months to try his recipe, I've already made it again. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

Po'dunk Sauce
recipe adapted from Nibble Me This
(printable recipe)

1/2 cup mayo
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons hot sauce, I used Tapatio, Cholula works well too
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic or garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon NM red chile powder or red pepper flakes

Whisk together all ingredients and then let chill in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Serve with your favorite potato fries. Enjoy!

  1. Love this name! Your recipe reminds me of another called "Comeback Sauce"----so good, you keep coming back to it.

  2. LOVE this sauce... I've made it numerous times since I saw it on Chris' site... it goes with everything!!

  3. Love the name and I bet the sauce is great too! You could put this on anything. Lovely :)

  4. Totally making tonight for my s. potato fries!

  5. I'd say this is a keeper! Just a bit spicy and perfect for dunkin' those french fries in!

  6. Do you use fresh minced garlic or garlic salt/powder? sounds really good and can't wait to make this!

    1. I used granulated garlic powder. I updated the recipe. Thanks!

  7. I think it's one that should always be on hand.

  8. I love the name of this sauce. This sauce really sounds tasty.

  9. Kinda sounds like the local favorite in Utah, Fry Sauce....only better!

  10. Glad you liked it too! Thanks for the link!
