Orange Grape Banana Kale Smoothie recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen
Kale is one of my favorite greens to toss into smoothies. The orange juice and the other fruits completely hide any “green” flavors. My kids request green smoothies more frequently than any others.

Luckily, I love them just as much as they do.

Orange Grape Banana Kale Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice freshly squeezed if you have extra oranges in the house
  • 2 large leaves kale stems removed if your blender is not powerful enough to puree them completely
  • 1 cup green grapes frozen is best for the perfect texture
  • 1 large banana

Instructions

  • Layer into the blender as listed above and puree until completely smooth. With any green smoothie, it is important to puree long enough for everything to be completely incorporated. Enjoy!

This would be one very large serving or 2-3 smaller ones. I've added serving sizes and total ounces made to most of my smoothie recipes at this point. I will try to remember to add that information to this recipe next time I make it! Thanks.

I put 2 oranges, 1 banana, 1.5 cups torn Kale, and 1 cup grapes into my blender and it comes out amazing. It's a beautiful green but it just tastes like fruit!

Also, I use frozen grapes that I have frozen in individual ziploc bags. You can add them frozen although I don't like cold, icy smoothies so I put the frozen grapes in a bowl, pour hot water for about 30 seconds and then pop them into the blender for a smoothie that's not super cold. My mum showed me this tip about frozen grapes. They are perfect as their sweetness hides green taste very well and no thawing necessary!
