Orange juice, green grapes, a banana and a generous handful of spinach combine to make our Favorite Green Smoothie. This is the easiest (and quite possibly the tastiest) green smoothie we make.

The best Green Smoothies shouldn't taste "green" at all! - recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen

If you are new to green smoothies, this is the place to start. This was the first green smoothie that I tried and my whole family has loved it from the start.

For over four years now, this has been our go-to green smoothie. My kids all love it and this is easily the most frequently made smoothie in our home. I PROMISE that you can not taste the “green” in this green smoothie. My four year old has been requesting this smoothie since he was 18 months old, pulling the spinach out of the fridge and setting it next to the blender pitcher.

My kids drink every single smoothie I have posted. If it doesn't pass the kid test, then I don't post the smoothie. 🙂 That said, they've been drinking smoothies for years and probably are more open to them than some kids might be.

This particular smoothie is their favorite. It is pretty sweet and you don't taste the spinach a bit. They think the green is just plain "cool" and they like that. This really is an excellent combination to try if someone is new to green smoothies.

Anonymous – I'm sure that contributes to why we enjoy it so much. For what it is worth, 20oz of soda contains 65g of sugar and plenty of chemicals. I'll happily feed my kids a 1/2 cup of OJ, spinach, grapes and a banana and call it healthy.

I'd rather my children and I consume our sugars via natural fruits than sodas, so I'll accept this and the sugars it contains. Obviously, it isn't for everyone, but it works well for us.

Just got a Vitamix and I've been making green smoothies for my little one–she's a great eater but I love that I can pack in greens and she have her gulp them down!

You have some fab smoothie recipes–thanks for posting them.

Also, like you said, "sugar" via grapes/bananas/orange juice is much preferred over other sources. Kudos to you to nourishing your family with real food.

I started using this recipe after spending Thanksgiving with your sister! To cut down on the sugar/calories since I'm trying to lose weight, I started using almond milk instead of OJ and I actually like the drink better!

Becky, I'm so glad that you found a perfect smoothie for yourself. Glad you had fun with Jen too, the girl sure does love her smoothies these days.;)

This is really good. I forgot to buy grapes so I used strawberries instead. I put in a pretty good handful of spinach and all I taste is the banana and a hint of the berries. Nice healthy bfast, and probably a great thing to have if you're hungover!

This is the first green smoothie I ever tried. I make all types of different ones now but this one is still my favorite. I always make sure to have bananas on my counter and grapes in my freezer so I can throw it together

You really can't taste the spinach in this smoothie, Ahlun. I doubt that we'd enjoy it nearly so much if we could!
