I'm Giving Away One Of My Favorite Things!

Barefeet In The Kitchen's Whisk Collection
In honor of my 100th post on this blog, I'm going to give away one of my favorite things! I always love giveaways on other blogs. So, I couldn't resist doing one when my husband suggested giving something away for my 100th post. Of course, technically, that was a couple posts ago, but who's counting?

Whisks are my favorite kitchen tool. I use them multiple times a day. I started with just a couple and as these things tend to happen, the numbers grew from there. Once they no longer fit in a drawer, I admitted it was a collection and I displayed them in the kitchen. I look for the unusual ones now and it makes my day when I find a new one.

Barefeet In The Kitchen's Whisk Collection
I absolutely love this whisk. Seeing how I adore mine and use it often, I'm going to give away a brand new whisk and keep my own. This whisk fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. This is a great whisk for scrambling eggs, sifting dry ingredients, and for any number of other small kitchen tasks. Whisk swordfights between little boys and their uncle? Well, this might not be the perfect one for that job. There are better whisks more up to that task.

Just leave a comment telling me the number of whisks in your kitchen and you are entered to win. I will happily ship the whisk anywhere in the world. Limit of one entry per household.

Contest will close at 8:00pm on Saturday, July 23rd. Winner will be announced on Sunday, July 24th. Good luck!

CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED - Winner announcement is here. Congratulations!

  6. Congrats on your 100th post!

I have one whisk, which was a hand-me-down, and the "wires" are now bending in weird directions.

  7. I have 4 whisks. 2 metal standar size, one mini metal and one standard non-stick whisk. But one of the standard metals is all mangled, so it's time for him to go...
Happy 100th post, big milestone!! ~Megan

  10. Wow, 100 posts! I wonder if i will ever get there :) haha well i have 1 tiny mini thing about the size of my finger which is made for milkshakes i think, but its pretty handy for lightly whipping a single egg white n the such (and its rather cute!) and i also have a hand operated cranky handle whisk that was my grans, you know the ones you turn the wheel and 'power' the whisk. but yes, i dont actually have a normal one like yours! So this would come in very handy indeed :)

  21. Okay, I actually logged onto your blog to tell you that we tried your Italian Vegatable soup and it was a HUGE favorite at our house. I am already planning a new batch (It only lasted about a week in the freezer.) lol You and your sis have always been such an inspiration to me. Thank you for sharing so much and making my life richer. I am so blessed :) I am going to try more of your recipes soon. (I am also trying to talk Mike into buying me a giant dehydrator and freezer and making me a SAHM.) ;) Love you! Mia

  22. Hello - I found your blog via Rhonda's Down to Earth.

I have one of these whisks and use it almost daily. Sometimes I pretend to be Phil Collins and play air-drums before whisking eggs or cheese sauce!

Don't enter me in your giveaway - I just wanted to gush about my whisk and air-drum skills :)

    Love your recipes, too.

  23. I have three whisks in my kitchen! Two are the exact same kind of whisk, but I found a special feature in which vigorous whisking of bread dough enables it to break down into two pieces for easy storage. Yeah. My third whisk is enormous and has won me many a whisk fight in the past.

You gave me two of them. :) Thanks.

  24. I have 3!!!! I could def. use a fourth!!!

  25. Awesome! So far I only have one whisk in the house. As I venture more and more into cooking, I often wish I had more! Just found your blog and will be back to drool over the recipes. : )

  26. I have a whisk just like that. What I love is that the handle is big and round, and perfect for whisking cornstarch into cold water for sauces and gravies - just roll it between your palms! I can't believe your whisk collection; I just have one (sigh).

  27. I love a good whisk, too. It has so many uses! I have four. Two smaller ones and one about the size above and then one that is actually my daughters that she got when we went to Paula Deen's restaurant in Savannah and she loves to use it when she helps in the kitchen.

  28. oooh, what a great way to celebrate 100 posts! I recently found your blog and am really enjoying it! I have one whisk, unless you count the one that attaches to my hand blender...I don't. And a good whisk is definitely a good thing!

  29. Mary, congratulations on your 100+ posts!! What an awesome ccomplishment!
I LOVE your whisk collection!! How cool is that? I have 3 whisks and often find that it isn't enough, but then again you can never have too much of anything, right? ;-)

  30. Congrats on your 100th post! You really have a great collection of whisks!! I have read that each whisk has a specific purpose; I currently have only two!!

  31. Congrats on reaching that milestone, and thanks for spreading the joy with a giveaway, Barefeet! Three whisks here in our western Kentucky kitchen...one of them rather tiny!

  32. Congrats! I have 2 whisks but one I despise...it's a weird material and just doesn't cut it for me!

  33. Congratulations on your 100th+ post! I have two whisks in my kitchen. One is an old, rusting cheapie that somehow I always turn to for beating batters (often forgetting that I have a hand-held mixer). More satisfying, somehow. The second is a fairly new, silicone-coated whisk to use in my enameled cast iron pot. I'm still getting used to it, as it feels somewhat too "bendy" for vigorous whisking.

  34. Uh, six? Seven? I have a bunch of teeny whisks I use for little sauces and mixed drinks.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Wow, I only have 7 (2 normal ones, 1 tiny one, 2 with little circles - one's black plastic, the other metal and 2 with silicone or something to use in my nonstick stuff - one normal shaped and the other a flat whisk). They're all Pampered Chef and I adore them all. I've been told by many that 1 is enough, but I completely disagree. I'm jealous of your collection!

  36. Very exciting. 100 posts!!!

Whisks... I think I have 3, but after looking at this one and holding it... I want this one too. : )

  37. we have at least half a dozen whisks in our kitchens! (but we'd always use another one - one came un-wired the other day, actually!)

  38. Congrats on your 100th post! - almost! I could always do with another whisk - as you know :)
