Pineapple Mango Spinach Smoothie

Pineapple Mango Spinach Smoothie recipe by Barefeet In The Kitchen

I put this smoothie together yesterday, because I wanted to use up the remaining pineapple juice from when I made Hawaiian muffins the other day. The combination was a great one. It was very smooth and much more juice-like than my typical smoothies. We enjoyed the smoothies on the back patio along with our Favorite Pancakes made into PB&J sandwiches. It was a fun lunch.

Pineapple Mango Spinach Smoothie
Yield: (2) 16 ounce smoothies
(printable recipe)

3/4 cup pineapple juice
1 cup cold water
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup green grapes, preferably frozen
1 frozen banana
2 handfuls organic baby spinach

Layer the ingredients in blender and blend until completely smooth. It's important to blend green smoothies a little longer than other varieties in order to avoid little bits of the greens floating around in your drink. Enjoy!

  1. Yum! I love spinach smoothies, partly because of the extra nutrients but mostly because of the color :) Just out of curiosity, is the flavor of the grapes noticeable? I've seen them in other spinach smoothie recipes and was never sure.

  2. I don't think it's very noticeable. The grapes add sweetness to the drink though. There is a bit of a fresh grape flavor, but not a grape "juice" flavor. I hope that helps.
